This Appointment Policy explains how to book, change and attend appointments at PMR Centre, a physical medicine and rehabilitation centre in Shillong, Meghalaya. It applies to in-person consultations, therapy and rehabilitation sessions, and telemedicine appointments at both our branches, and sits alongside our Refund and Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy.
Registering before your first appointment
New patients need to register once to receive an MRN (Medical Record Number) before booking. You can register online at www.pmrcentre.com/register or at our reception. Online registrations are reviewed by our team, and you will be able to sign in to the Patient Portal once your registration is approved. Existing patients do not need to register again.
How to book an appointment
You can book an appointment in any of these ways:
- Patient Portal — sign in at portal.pmrcentre.com with your MRN and date of birth, then confirm the verification code we send by WhatsApp and SMS.
- By telephone — call us on +91 70852 35036 or +91 93663 86701 during centre hours.
- In person — at our reception during centre hours.
Centre hours and consultant availability
The centre is open Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays.
Consultant clinic (OPD) days are separate from centre hours. Dr. Lahunlang Sohliya sees patients on:
- Laban branch — Monday and Thursday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm
- Mawkasiang branch — Tuesday and Friday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm
Please book a consultation on a day the consultant is available at your preferred branch. Therapy and rehabilitation sessions are arranged during centre hours.
Confirmation and reminders
When your appointment is booked or confirmed, we send the details to your registered mobile by WhatsApp and SMS, so please keep your contact number up to date. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us so we can make sure your appointment is booked.
Rescheduling and cancellations
If you cannot keep your appointment, please let us know as early as possible so the time can be offered to another patient. You can cancel or reschedule through the Patient Portal or by calling us.
Please give us at least 24 hours' notice. An appointment reserves clinician time that cannot be offered to someone else at short notice. If you cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours before your appointment, or do not attend without telling us beforehand (a “no-show”), a cancellation fee may apply. Where a fee applies, it will be advised to you. Full details are in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
If we ever need to cancel or move your appointment — for example if the consultant becomes unavailable — we will contact you as soon as we can to rearrange it at no charge to you.
Arriving for your appointment
Please arrive about 15 minutes early, and bring your MRN and a valid photo ID, together with any earlier prescriptions, reports or imaging relevant to your visit. If you arrive late we will do our best to see you, but your consultation may be shortened or, where that is not possible, rescheduled so that other patients are not delayed.
Telemedicine appointments
For telemedicine appointments, a secure video link is available through the Patient Portal. The join button becomes active shortly before your scheduled time. Please be ready in a quiet, private space with a stable internet connection, and keep any relevant documents to hand.
Missed appointments
Repeatedly missing appointments without notice affects other patients waiting for care. We may ask you to confirm future appointments in advance, and repeated no-shows may attract a fee as described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Your information and medical records
Information you provide when booking is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. We retain patient and appointment records for a minimum of five years, in keeping with applicable requirements.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Appointment Policy from time to time. The current version is always the one shown on this page.
